Bryn Upton '94 to Appear on Jeopardy
Story posted December 07, 2005
Many of us have fantasized about appearing on the brainiac TV quiz show Jeopardy.
Bryn Upton '94 actually got to do it. Tune in Monday, December 12, 2005, to see Upton make a run at becoming the next Ken Jennings. (Check your local listings. The show airs in the southern and midcoast Maine area on WMTW Channel 8 at 7:30 p.m.)
Our Jeopardy dreams probably also include the nightmare of failing miserably as a contestant on the show, despite knowing all the correct answers - that is, all the correct questions - while watching from the comfort of our own living rooms.
Fortunately, Upton reports leaving the show with his "dignity" intact, prize money, and an added bonus - an idea for a book.
Upton is currently an assistant professor of history at McDaniel College in Westminster Maryland. A history major at Bowdoin with a minor in education, he went on to earn his Ph.D. at Brandeis.
