Geoghegan and Stoehr '90 Publish Book on Jung
Story posted November 22, 2002
Professor of Religion Emeritus William D. Geoghegan and Kevin L. Stoehr, Bowdoin Class of 1990, have collaborated on the forthcoming book Jung's Psychology as a Spiritual Practice and Way of Life: A Dialogue. The book will be published in early December by University Press of America.
The book is written in the form of a "Socratic dialogue," and according to Stoehr is the culminating expression of Geoghegan's teaching and research at Bowdoin College over the past 40 years. "Many of Bill's close friends view the publication as an informal 'celebration' of Bill Geoghegan's longstanding dedication to Bowdoin College and the Jung Seminar," said Stoehr. Geoghegan is the founder of Bowdoin's Jung Seminar.
The Brunswick Jung Center will hold an official book-signing event in mid-January for those who have pre-ordered and received books.
