In partnership with the Bowdoin College Chapter, Habitat for Humanity/Bath-Brunswick Area, Inc. (HFH/BBA) will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of their 17th home and first subdivision on Wednesday, September 11, at 4:30 p.m.

The site located on River Road in Bowdoinham will be the future home for the Cloukey family: Jen, Jason (Hawk) and their four children. The Bowdoin College Chapter is the lead building partner raising the necessary funds and providing volunteer labor from the students, faculty, and staff.

This house project will be the first for HFH/BBA to institute its "green team" approach by incorporating a series of educational lectures in sustainable building practices.

The event is part of Habitat for Humanity International's "Building on Faith Week" that raises awareness to the substandard housing conditions in our communities.

The ceremony will also mark the first anniversary of the tragic terror events of a year ago.

Construction on the house will begin on September 21. Please contact the HFH/BBA office at 729-0311 for more information.
