Arctic Museum Featured in NSF Publication

The Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum's exhibit Ancient Ice, Cool Science: Climate Change in the North is the subject of the front-page feature article in the National Science Foundation's Arctic Sciences Program newsletter Witness the Arctic (Spring 2002).
The newsletter, which is distributed to 7,500 federal agencies, universities, and individuals concerned with polar research, is published by the Arctic Research Consortium of the United States, headquartered in Fairbanks, Alaska.
The article, "Ancient Ice, Cool Science Brings the Public Face to Face With Climate Change Research in the North," has resulted in the Museum's being contacted by the National Academy of Sciences, NOAA, and various science centers who have been trying to develop effective, accessible climate change exhibitions.
