Concert Band Presents Spring Concert

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin College Concert Band presents its spring concert on Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium, Visual Arts Center, Bowdoin College. The public is invited to attend free of charge. Among the works being performed on the program are: 'Festive Overture' by Shostakovich; Gordon Jacob's 'An Original Suite'; Wagner's 'Trauermusik'; 'Slava!' by Leonard Bernstein; J.P. Sousa's 'I've Made My Plans For The Summer'; and 'Walking Tune' by Percy Grainger.

Formed ten years ago, the Bowdoin College Concert Band is comprised primarily of Bowdoin students but also includes Bowdoin faculty, staff, and some community members. The band is directed by John P. Morneau.
