Bowdoin Dance Group Presents Spring Performance

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin College Dance Group will present the 27th annual Spring Dance Performance on Friday, April 17, at 8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 18, at 8:30 p.m. in Pickard Theater, Memorial Hall. The public is invited to attend free of charge.

The performance will feature faculty and student choreography accompanied by music from Billie Holiday, Notorious B.I.G., Yo-Yo Ma and others. Minal Bopaiah '99 will perform "Search," a solo to music from the film score for "Kama Sutra." Felice Espinoza '00 and Lenny Payan '98 will perform a surreal duet titled "Throng." A septet of dancers will perform "Back to the Earth," a contemporary liturgical dance choreographed by Hilde Petersen '00. BowdoinUs student dance group, VAGUE, will present "The Eighth Wonder of the World," choreographed by Deb Bornstein '98 and Lindsay Chaves '01. Pieces choreographed by Saudia Davis '00, DeAna Brunson '01, Kathy Miller '00, Marina Galazidis '01, Nell Schwartz '00 and Candice So '00 will represent hip-hop and jazz genres.
