Bowdoin Concert Band Presents Concert

BRUNSWICK, Maine -- The Bowdoin College Concert Band presents its winter concert on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Pickard Theater, Memorial Hall, Bowdoin College. The public is invited free of charge.
The concert will feature "Concert des Trompettes" by Michel Richard de LaLande, "Salvation is Created" by Tschesnokoff, "Folk Dances" by Dmitri Shostakovich; "Scenes from 'The Louvre' " by Norman Dello Joio; and "A Bernstein Tribute" adapted by Clare Grundman.
Formed ten years ago, the Bowdoin College Concert Band is comprised primarily of Bowdoin students but also includes Bowdoin faculty, staff, and some community members. John P. Morneau is the director.
