Alumni Fund

Fund Directors

Dedicated alumni with cross-generational perspective serving a three-year term to help support other Fund volunteers comprise this committee. Each of the Fund Directors has served, or continues to serve, as a Class Agent and is selected by the Director of Annual Giving. Meet the Fund Directors.

Class Agents

As leaders of their class’s effort, Class Agents work closely with AG staff members to set and meet their respective class dollar and donor goals. Class Agents are vital in encouraging philanthropy and building relationships between alumni and Bowdoin.

Associate Class Agents

Associate Agents support the Class Agents through personal outreach to classmates.

Reunion Gift Chairs

Reunion Gift Chairs lead their Class in efforts to make leadership gifts during reunion years. They also work to increase class participation during reunion years.

Reunion Gift Committee

In honor of Class reunions, members of the Gift Committee help Reunion Gift Chairs in their efforts through personal outreach to classmates.

Alumni Relations

Bowdoin Clubs

Bowdoin clubs hold a variety of social, educational and community-oriented activities each year. There are currently 25 active Bowdoin clubs around the country. Committees of alumni/ae volunteers working with the Office of Alumni Relations plan activities for each regional club. If you are interested in becoming involved with your local Bowdoin club, please contact us by phone at 207-725-3266 or by email at alumni@bowdoin.edu.

Reunion Planning

Class Reunions are held every five years and are planned by a committee of classmates working with the Alumni Relations staff. If you are interested in helping plan your next reunion, contact Alumni Relations at (207) 725-3266 or alumni@bowdoin.edu.

Bowdoin Alumni Schools Interviewing Committee (BASIC) supports and expands the outreach of the Admissions Office through the use of active and informed alumni volunteers in the recruitment of qualified students for Bowdoin. Members of BASIC serve as representatives of the College to students, parents, and guidance counselors in their local communities.
