Potluck Dinner to Benefit Central American Hurricane Victims

Dec. 3, 1998, BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Students and faculty in the Bowdoin College Latin American Studies program are hosting a potluck dinner and concert to benefit victims of Hurricane Mitch, which devastated Central America this year. The dinner will take place on Friday, December 11th and will run from 6:30-8 p.m., followed by the concert from 9-11 p.m. in the Maine Lounge of Moulton Union. Both the dinner and the concert are open to the public. Admission is $15 per person, $25 per family, $7 with a student ID. Guests are asked to bring a dish to contribute to the dinner; Dining Services will do the rest.

The concert will include students and faculty musicians performing folk, classical, blues and a capella music, and a poetry recital by students of Enrique Yepes, assistant professor of Spanish.
