Economics Dept Seminar Series: Nina Pavcnik, Dartmouth CollegeOn Wednesday, November 28, Nina Pavcnik, Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College, will join us as part of the department seminar series.  Her paper, "Export Markets and Labor Reallocation in a Poor Country," studies labor allocation in response to new export opportunities in a setting where a majority of workers work in small, often household-owned businesses and examines the effects of the 2001 U.S.-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) on the allocation of employment across industries and employers in Vietnam.
