Required REI Groundwater Workshop—September 29, 2021

To the campus community,

Thank you to all of our students, faculty, and staff who have participated to date in the Racial Equity Institute (REI) workshop, A Groundwater Approach to Racial Equity. We continue to hear very positive feedback about the workshops themselves and participants’ increase in knowledge about structural racism.

In my message of August 23, 2021, I stated our expectation that by the end of the fall semester, every member of our campus community would have participated in one of the virtual Groundwater workshops offered in April of last year or this fall. However, in recognition of the challenges COVID-19 continues to pose this semester, we have decided to add an additional workshop date for early January for those truly not able to attend any of the fall semester sessions.

You will receive information about the January date and registration link in the coming weeks. Please note: all students, faculty, and staff are required to participate in one of the REI Groundwater workshops, and for those who have not yet participated you must be registered for one of the remaining dates by Friday, October 29.
