More than 700 people came to the Bowdoin College Museum of Art July 15, 2011, for the opening of Edward Hopper's Maine, the comprehensive exhibition of the artist's work in Maine from 1914 to 1929.
The exhibition's opening was celebrated with a public reception Friday that drew more than 400 people and a second gathering Saturday for trustees and donors.
The exhibition also attracted coverage by the Boston Globe, Maine Sunday Telegram and Art Daily.
