On Thursday, August 9th, Ella Frederiksen Brown ’84 & Lowell Brown hosted their last Maine Send Off event, welcoming 15 members of the Class of 2022 to the Bowdoin community.
Over 60 alumni, parents, students and friends celebrated the incoming class over dinner - including black and while whoopie pies in the shape of a Bowdoin B! For over 20 years, Ella, Lowell and their children have welcomed hundreds of First Year students to the Bowdoin community by hosting this popular and annually anticipated event. Despite the rain sending everyone inside for a brief period, the festivities were not dampened. Thank you to the Brown family for their years of generosity and hospitality to Polar Bears in Maine.
