Polar Bears Celebrate Common Good Day in Washington, D.C.

Common Good Day in Washington D.C.

Polar Bears from the greater Washington, D.C. area gathered to celebrate Common Good Day at Bread for the City in advance of the campus-wide celebration of Bowdoin’s 19th annual Common Good Day on Saturday, Sept. 16th, 2017. Participants helped the organization sort food and after making quick work of their assigned tasks, gathered for conversation.  One volunteer, a 2017 graduate and newcomer to Washington, D.C., has already made plans to become a permanent volunteer for Bread for the City. Thank you to Jordan Lantz ’15 and Dave Anderson ’00 for organizing and leading this year’s event.

Help us celebrate our continued commitment to serving the common good by sharing pictures and stories of your own volunteer work in your community by tagging @bowdoinalumni and using the hashtag #CGD2017.

Go U Bears!
