Behind the Scenes at Bowdoin’s Performance of ‘A Delicate Balance’

Masque & Gown, one of Bowdoin’s student theater groups, recently staged Edward Albee’s play, A Delicate Balance.

Jack Arnholz ’19 directed the play, which Albee wrote in 1966. The drama explores a troubled marriage between a suburban couple.

The Bowdoin Orient writes that “as much as the couple tries to preserve their uncommunicative yet seemingly peaceful marriage,” visits by friends and family “ultimately disrupt their balance and put the actions of the play into motion.”

Bura Eriz ’17 went behind the scenes to check in on the cast preparing for their Friday night performance.
