Andrew Rudalevige, Bowdoin’s Thomas Brackett Reed Professor of Government, is tapped for his expertise in the president’s use of executive orders in the USA Today article “Obama’s executive orders you never hear about.”

“A lot of these orders are formulated in a department or in an inter-agency process, and they make their way up rather than down,” says Rudalevige in the article. “Often the departments are ordered to do things that they’ve asked to be ordered to do.”
