A Celebration of Bowdoin and Its Arts Community in New York City

On April 15, The Bowdoin Club of New York attracted an enthusiastic crowd for a reception at Michael Rosenfeld Gallery in the coveted Chelsea neighborhood. Alumni, parents, and friends dined on hors d’oeuvres while enjoying conversation and a warm welcome by event hosts, halley k harrisburg ’90 and her husband Michael Rosenfeld. The exhibition on view was “Theodore Roszak: Propulsive Transfiguration, a Survey of Drawings From 1928 to 1980”. The evening intersected with the Bowdoin College Museum of Art through the presence of Anne and Frank Goodyear, Co-Directors of the BCMA, as well as through the artist. Several Theodore Roszak drawings are part of the permanent collection at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, received as a gift to the College from the artist’s daughter, who was also in attendance for the evening. This event was a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate Bowdoin and the arts. For upcoming Bowdoin events in New York City, visit the Alumni Gateway.
