Bowdoin offers its employees the opportunity to take potentially life saving cadiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training conveniently right on campus several times a year. American Red Cross CPR and AED programs are designed to give you the confidence to respond in an emergency situation with skills that can save a life.
Hands-on skills training prepares participants to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. This course will teach participants to:
- Call and work with EMS
- Perform CPR and care for breathing & cardiac emergencies
- Avoid bloodborne pathogens exposure
- Learn the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival
To see when the next CPR/AED Training is scheduled, call HR or visit the Campus Calendar. Reservations for these popular trainings fill up quickly, so if you are interested, sign up as soon as you see a session you can attend.
