Bowdoin Summer Day Camp
JULY 2 - AUGUST 3, 2018. 7:00 a.m. ‑ 6:00 p.m. For children entering grades 1 - 11 . $200.00 per week, per camper.
We require a $100.00 per week, per camper deposit to save your spot at camp. The deposit is applied to your final balance. The deposit is non-refundable. All remaining balances must be paid in full, on or before the campers first day of Day Camp.
Entering grades 1 & 2
Program emphasizes games, swimming, old rock 'n roll music, and sharing.
Entering grades 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7
Program emphasizes active games, sports, math, old rock 'n roll music, and courtesy.
Entering grades 8, 9, 10 & 11
Program emphasizes sports, math, courtesy, and helpfulness. Campers entering 10th or 11th grade may attend for half price.

*$5.00 late fee based on LOBBY CLOCK. $5.00 for every 1‑10 minutes after 6:00 p.m.

We will play soccer, tennis, floor hockey, and other sports for fun, teamwork, and leadership. There will be some informal instruction as it pertains to the flow of the game, but nothing that would compare to what a soccer or tennis camp would try to accomplish. Wiffle ball, dodge ball, and kick ball are very popular.
We offer a daily combination of swimming instruction and free time with two diving boards open. Swimming is optional. We have enthusiastic lessons for non-swimmers and swimmers of all abilities, but no one has to swim. Many younger campers who are non-swimmers prefer not to swim because the shallow end is 4-feet deep, and there are a lot of swimmers splashing around. Personal life jackets are allowed for non-swimmers. Reluctant swimmers can stay out and play field games.
We also practice math, play board games, sing rock 'n roll songs, memorize poems, and do arts & crafts projects such as knitting and painting.
WHAT TO BRING: Each day a camper should wear sneakers, shorts, and a t‑shirt, and bring a lunch, water bottle, swim suit, and a towel. There is no need to bring anything else. We supply all other equipment. Expensive sports equipment should not be brought to camp. Please write your child's name on all clothing (particularly hats, towels, swimsuits & sweatshirts).
WE DON'T ALLOW: iPods, radios, headphones, skateboards, cards, or gum at camp. Cell phones are discouraged. Campers should not bring money or other valuables.
MORNING ARRIVAL: Drop your child off at Farley Field House each morning between 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Your child will be checked in for the day in the lobby. You may bring your child to camp later if you want, but organized activities begin each day at 9:00 a.m.
AFTERNOON PICK-UP: You may pick up your child any time before 6:00 p.m. Organized activities end at 4:00 p.m. each day. There will be supervised free time in the field house from 4:00 p.m. ‑ 5:30 p.m. and daily clean-up from 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
LATE PICK-UP CHARGE: Because we have generous hours and we are not set up to keep staff on duty after 6:00 p.m. there is a steep charge for late pick up of children. The penalty fee is $5.00 for the first 1-10 minutes, $10.00 for 11‑20 minutes, $15.00 for 21‑30, etc. Time is determined by the clock in the lobby.
