Brooks Winner '10-Ten Years of the Psi Upsilon Environmental Fellowship Program
Class 2010

Posted July 20, 2012

Brooks Winner ’10 had his fellowship with the City of Bath in 2008. During his time as a fellow, Brooks worked on community organizing, carbon accounting and inventorying, and sustainability planning. His most memorable moment of the fellowship was presenting the findings of the greenhouse gas inventory he had worked on to the Bath City Council and having the council unanimously pass the resolution committing the city to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. The summer he spent with the City of Bath inspired him to pursue a career in climate action and sustainability. Brooks is now a business development associate for the NextCentury Energy Consultants.

Advice for future Psi Upsilon fellows:

Work hard and stay in touch with your supervisors and co-workers at your organization. If you impress them, they will be great professional contacts and references later on.
