Conference Overview

Saturday, April 30, 2011
Bowdoin College
Brunswick, ME
Main and Lancaster Lounges, Moulton Union

The Second Annual CBB Economics Conference, funded by a Mellon Foundation CBB Collaborative Faculty Enhancement Grant, will give faculty and advanced students an uncommon opportunity to present their latest research to a large audience composed of faculty, students and members of the community.

The full-day event is intended to foster scholarly exchange across several sub-disciplines of economics, encourage research networking among faculty, provide a forum for presentation of honors work by economics majors, and expose less senior economics students to open research questions and standards of professional research in economics.

Research presentations by faculty will take place during most of the day in successive plenary sessions, punctuated by coffee brakes and a conference lunch for all participants and ending with a dinner for faculty participants.  Students are encouraged to participate in discussion during plenary sessions and present their own research in a special poster session.
