We are closed Friday and Saturday nights.

Daytime Hours

Peer Writing Assistance, Study Space, Meeting Space and Professional Staff at your Service!

The Baldwin Center (H-L Library 112) is open Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:00. We are closed Saturday and Sunday.

During the daytime hours, you can make use of the Baldwin Center's convenient, comfortable space to work. We offer free tea, hot chocolate and instant coffee and if you’re lucky, a snack or two might be on the counter! We also have staplers, tape, markers, sticky notes, and other helpful tools, and printers are located just outside our doors in the library.

Also during the day, Mondays through Fridays, Lisa Flanagan, Associate Director, Academic Communication for Multi-lingual Speakers is available to help with papers, presentations, resumes, cover letters, applications and more. You can email her for an appointment at lflanag2@bowdoin.edu.

Monday-Thursday from 11-1 PM and Fridays from 10-12 AM and 1-3 PM, there are writing assistants available (also optionally available online!). Make an appointment

If you find yourself struggling academically and not sure if our peer services can help, you can meet virtually with Tina Chong, Assistant Director of the Baldwin Center, Academic Mentoring and Coaching, to help figure out next steps. Make an appointment with her or fill out this Academic Services Request form and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours (many times sooner).

Kathryn Byrnes and Eric Gaze are also here to help!

Still have questions? Check the FAQ.

Rather talk to a real person? Our administrative coordinator is on duty Mondays through Fridays, and is always happy to help. Stop by H-L Library 112F, call 207-725-3006, or connect via the Baldwin Center Zoom Room.
