About the Exhibition

About

This online exhibition, New Views of the Middle Ages: Highlights from the Wyvern Collection, presents the work of Kathryn Gerry, Visiting Assistant Professor of Art History. Critical research has been contributed by members of Professor Gerry’s Fall 2019 seminar, ARTH 3370, Medieval Art and the Modern Viewer: Building an Exhibition with the Wyvern Collection—Amanda Banasiak ’20, Claudine Chartouni ’20, Maria McCarthy ’20, Olivia Muro ’20, Camila Papadopoulo ’20, and Brooke Wrubel ’21. The corresponding exhibition will be installed in the galleries of the Bowdoin College Museum of Art from August 2020 – August 2021.

Please note that for each of the objects featured on this website, we have provided the object's inventory number as listed in the Wyvern collection.

This online exhibition was designed by David Francis in Bowdoin Academic Technology, in collaboration with staff at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. It was created using the following technologies: cascade content management system (CMS), HTML5/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery (JavaScript library), and Fancybox.
