Steve Mann
Stevie was in the first group of six artists at Spindleworks and attended for more than thirty years. Over his long artistic career, he hooked rugs, embroidered, painted and wrote poetry. His intensely colored, luminous angels, churches, A-frames, hospitals and polar bears were powerfully rendered, yet bordered on abstraction. Stevie was featured in a short film by Bruce Williams entitled KING KONG IN A BLANKET, which was shown at the New York Film Festival.
