Molly Neptune Parker
We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Molly Neptune Parker, master Passamaquoddy basket weaver, inspiring mentor and leader, and matriarch of her beloved family.
Using skill, creativity, and some fun, she wove together ash wood and sweetgrass, creating stunningly beautiful baskets that she lovingly shared with the world. We are honored to have met her at Bowdoin College in 2015 when she received an honorary degree for her artistic excellence, generosity of spirit, and commitment to honoring, carrying forth, and sharing Passamaquoddy traditions. We extend our condolences to her family, friends, and community during this difficult time.
