Raising the city’s minimum wage to $13.13 an hour would generate $6 billion a year in new wages and put an extra $100 in the pockets of 1.2 million New Yorkers each week, a new report found. Gov. Cuomo recently embraced a proposal to raise the state minimum to $10.10 and let localities boost their own wages by up to 30% on top of that — meaning the city could raise its rate to a high of $13.13.
