Archaeologists have identified a 67-year-old shipwreck revealed during low tide on New Year's Day in the waters off northeast Florida. The Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program has confirmed that the ship the Bermuda-based Deliverance, which wrecked in 1947 off Ponte Vedra Beach.

Suspect in 8-year-old murder case taken into police custody

A handyman long suspected of killing a Brooklyn landlord is in custody in the murder — eight years after the grisly crime took place, officials said. Detectives with the NYPD's Cold Case Squad apprehended Luis Perez, 48, Friday in the March 6, 2006, murder of 55-year-old Bruce Blackwood, sources said.

State Legislature passes $137.9B budget
