To back up or access the database you must map the Research\CBGIS folder on microwave as one of your drives. This process is described here. Once you have mapped the CBGIS folder to a drive then you can navigate to the \database\ folder.
Right click on Bowdoinsamples.mdb and copy it.
Then go into the folder \database\Database backup\.
Right click again, then paste. Rename this file in the following format: yyyymmddBowdoinSamples.mdb.
Backing this database up on a regular basis is critical because if data is accidentally deleted or if the file becomes corrupted then lots of hard work can be instantly lost.
