This is a fun reading and a bit of a break after the Kinsbourne article. In addition to the genetic transmission of traits, humans are also subject to cultural transmission. This transmission takes the form of ideas. Dawkins turns the idea of evolution around somewhat -- ideas are the individuals which replicate or become extinct, and human minds are the environment in which they exist.
