Peeblesor Mother Lizard

Maiasaura peeblesorum

(Horner & Makela, 1979)

Maiasaura peeblesorum is one of the most common large herbivores of Late Creatceous western North America.  These giant beasts migrate in tremendous herds across the lowlands as the year progresses, never staying in one spot too long, lest their inscatable appatites decimate the surrounding population of vegitation.  In the spring, they build huge, volcano-shaped nests and brood their chicks, briefly transforming entire ecosystems by their very exsistence.
