Zdansky's True-Marsh-Foot
Euhelopus zdanskyi
(Romer, 1956)
Euhelopus zdanski, a chinese sauropod,
is quite similar in habits to Brachiosaurus in North America.
Although not as large as Brachiosaurus (E. zdanski is about
10 meters long compared to Brachiosaurus's 22 meters), E. zdanski
fills
the same ecological niche as the North American sauropod. Both are
treetop browsers, with long necks, spoon-shaped teeth for plucking leaves
and pine needles, high nostrils, and large forelimbs.
