The Sum-Times
Hi!! Welcome to the old newsletter page for the Univ of Iowa's
math dept. We are Amanda Watkins
and aBa Mbirika and
we are on the Math Graduate Board. Our job was to
well. . . do lots of groovy math. But also, we put together the
Math Newsletter called the Sum-Times. During our reign, it was
issued monthly
(sorta) during the academic
year, and contains department news, event photos, profiles of people in
the department, and much more! Sometimes there was gossip and
trash-talking too, like a real newspaper (or tabloid - not the row
strict tableaux - ha!). If you got that joke, then you are in
algebraic combinatorics. Oh Boy!!!
