Join the Bowdoin Democratic Socialists' delegation to the "Turning the Tide Towards Freedom" conference hosted by Young Democratic Socialists, USA. This wll be a great venue to learn about democratic socialism, how to build a democratic left movement, and meet other great young activists. Tons of great workshops, speakers, and trainings. Climate Change in Maine
Bowdoin Democratic Socialists are a sponsoring group for "The Climate Campaign Conference Maine" at Bowdoin (2/11/2006). The Climate Change Network describes this as a "summit to energize students around climate issues and actions to take to address the issues on a campaus and state level, and to connect students with organizations they can use as resources and outlets to take such actions as promoting sustainability and climate neutrality on campuses and in the state legislature". "Marx in Soho"
Bowdoin Democratic Socialists and Sociology Department are proud to present Howard Zinn's (author of People's History of the United States) "Marx in Soho" as preformed by Bob Weick of the Iron Age Theatre. The preformace will be held Friday February 17th at 4:30. Look for further information and check out www.ironagetheatre.org for the history of the play.
