John Bisbee's Sculpture 1 class created a group installation using more than 600 rolls of masking tape. Students were asked to develop as wide a range of visual vocabulary as they could using only the tape. Each student worked on the entire installation, without being the sole author of any one part, reinforcing the communal nature of the project. The installation culminated in an end-of-semester show where guests not only made their way through the dense webbing of tape but were also invited to contribute to its matrix.
