Using Quicktime with Bowdoin Webcasts

Bowdoin College webcasts require Quicktime 7 (or better). If you are unable to view the webcast using the 'Watch Event' link above please download and install Quicktime. A broadband internet connection is required to view this webcast.

Enlarging the Quicktime Window (Does not apply to UStream viewers).

1. Open/Start the Quicktime application...

2. Select the 'File' menu...

3. Select Open URL from within the file menu...

4. Paste this address into the Movie URL field:
      http://hollywood.bowdoin.edu/athletics-live.sdp

5. Click on the 'Open' button. (Please Note: This process will only work when webcasts are being broadcast. See the above schedule for webcast dates and times.)

Once the stream is playing you can select how you would like to resize the streaming video using the 'View' menu.

Troubleshooting Your Connection

• If you are unable to view the video but are able to hear the audio of the webcast, and have Quicktime installed, you need to upgrade to Quicktime version 7.
  
  
• If you are using Microsoft's Windows Firewall (part of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2) this connection may be blocked. If so please configure Windows Firewall to allow this connection.
  
  
• If the webcast stops or is interrupted please restart your webcast viewer.
