The December Dance Performance features the Modern Dance Repertory classes performing works choreographed by faculty members Daphne McCoy and Gwyneth Jones.

The Dance 112 project focuses on nighttime – armed with mattresses, speed, and agility, 12 dancers explore the changing relationships with one another and the space they inhabit. In Cash Flow the Intermediate Repertory group flirts with cold hard cash while dancing to the tunes of Peggy Lee, Barrett Strong, Louis Armstrong, and the Beatles.

Dance 312 explores the chapters of a person's life in What We Leave Behind Us. Moments like going away to school, getting married, having a child, or losing a spouse become defining times in our life which constitute a "chapter." Often these are wanted changes, and yet so frequently we look back on "what was.” The sound design, by Chris Watkinson, is an intricate part of the piece. Dancers perform to a sound scape of differently aged voices speaking of this melancholy.
