Campus Involvement
Paper
Fact: Last year the Bowdoin community used 9,139,000 sheets of paper at a cost of about $56,400. This is down almost $4,000 from last year!
- Do you really need to print that??? Please be mindful, print only what you need.
- Print Double Sided - the computer labs and libraries now have duplex printers - ask a librarian or lab assistant how to use them.
- Use the blank side of single-sided printouts for rough drafts and scrap paper.
- Use Green Pads for scrap paper or taking notes. Green Pads are available in Hatch and H&L Libraries.
- In order to save paper on any drafts of your papers that you print out, try the following...
Single space documents, where possible
Set margins narrower for drafts
Change margins to avoid pages with little text
Use a smaller type face
