By Plane

The Portland International Jetport is located approximately 30 miles south of Bowdoin College and Brunswick.  The Jetport is serviced by the following airlines:  Air Canada, AirTran, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, United, and U.S. Airways.  For more information, please visit www.portlandjetport.org

By Bus

Concord Trailways makes a Brunswick stop at Maine Street Station, which is a very short walk from Bowdoin College.  For more information, please visit www.concordcoachlines.com

Greyhound Bus Lines also makes a Brunswick stop at the 7-Eleven on Maine Street (also a short walk from Bowdoin College).  For more information, please visit www.greyhound.com

By Train

The Amtrak Downeaster provides rail service from Boston to Portland, Maine - and by Fall of 2012, it plans to extend its route all the way to Brunswick!  For more information, please visit www.amtrakdowneaster.com

Zipcars

Bowdoin recently partnered with Zipcar, the world's largest car-sharing service, to provide two vehicles on campus, available for use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by Zipcar members.  For more information about becoming a Zipcar member, please visit www.zipcar.com

Brunswick Explorer

The Brunswick Explorer is a public transit bus service that makes stops throughout Brunswick (including at Bowdoin).  Buses run hourly on Mondays through Fridays from 7:30am to 5:30pm.  For more information on bus routes, schedules and fares, please visit www.brunswickexplorer.org

Taxi Service

Taxi rides to Freeport, Bath and other surrounding towns can be arranged through Brunswick Taxi (207-729-3688).  The approximate taxi fare from Bowdoin College is $17 per trip to Freeport, $12 per trip to Bath, and $60 per trip to the Portland Jetport or to downtown Portland.  Brunswick Taxi is also available for service in and around Brunswick itself; fares will range from approximately $4 to $7 per trip.  Fares are subject to change, especially with fluctuations in gas prices.
