Office of Events and Summer Programs

The Summer Programs Information Desk is located on the first floor of Coles Tower. The desk is open 7 am to 9 pm, 7 days a week, during the summer. Please visit us if you have questions or concerns while on campus. We want to make your stay at Bowdoin as pleasant as possible.

During free time, there are many interesting and exciting things for summer guests to do without even having to leave Bowdoin's campus!

While you are on campus, be sure to visit both of Bowdoin's acclaimed museums:  the recently redesigned Bowdoin College Museum of Art and the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum (located in Hubbard Hall).

Bowdoin summers are rich in offerings for performing arts enthusiasts.  Two of Bowdoin's permanent summer residents, the Maine State Music Theatre and the Bowdoin International Music Festival, offer numerous performances on campus during the summer that are open to the public.

Be sure to visit the Bowdoin Bookstore to find a souvenir of your stay on campus!  The Bookstore, located on the second floor of Smith Union, sells everything from Bowdoin apparel and paraphernalia to postcards, magazines and books.

David Saul Smith Union, the campus student center, is also home to Jack Magee's Pub & Grill, the Cafe, the Bowdoin Express Convenience Store and the Mailroom.  Visit Morrell Lounge on the first floor or the Cafe area upstairs for a great space to relax during a break.
