Chevy Chase, Maryland
I have a BA in History from Oberlin College and a PhD in History from UCLA.
I was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Chevy Chase, Maryland. After college, I worked at Asian Immigrant Women Advocates in Oakland, California. My graduate work at UCLA focused on 20th century US cultural and intellectual history. At Bowdoin, I taught an Asian American history course and was the Assistant Director of Parent Giving before coming to the Dean’s Office in the fall of 2005. I live in Brunswick with my husband and three children.
