Grua/O'Connell Research Award supports student travel that will substantially enhance students' honors project or research. Awards may also be used to defray students' research expenses.

Coles Fellowship, Martha Reed for research in the arts and humanities (available for the summer or academic year)
Coles Undergraduate Research Fellowship, James Stacy for research in the natural sciences and mathematics (available for the summer or academic year)
Doherty Charitable Foundation Coastal Studies Research for marine and coastal studies research (available for the summer or academic year)
Freedman Summer Research Fellowship in Coastal/Environmental Studies preference is given to students majoring in the basic sciences who plan to pursue graduate studies (available for the summer)
Goldsmith Adams Research Award for academic summer experiences in Asia to enrich faculty-mentored research or support language programs
Hughes Family Summer Research Fellowship for research in environmental studies (available for the summer)
Kaufman Family Fellowship for faculty-mentored student research in any discipline (available for the academic year)
Kibbe Fellowship for research in the sciences (available for the summer or academic year)
Langbein Summer Fellowship for an undergraduate or recent graduate to participate in summer research or advanced study directly related to his or her major field or life work (available for the summer)
Lifson Family Summer Research Fellowship for an undergraduate to participate in summer research in the social sciences
Maine Space Grant Consortium Fellowship for aerospace-related research including astronomical, biological, physical, social, earth science, human exploration and development of space, space science, and other science technology computer or engineering related fields (available for the summer or academic year)
McEwen Student Research Fellowship in the Social Sciences for research in the social sciences and humanities, with preference given to research in sociology (available for the summer or academic year)
Patterson Research Fellowship preference is given to students conducting research in the humanities over the summer months (available for the summer)
Patterson/Baird Family Research Fellowship preference is given to students conducting research in the humanities over the summer months
Rusack Coastal Studies Fellowship for humanities, social science, and natural science projects that provide new insight and understanding into the multiple facets of coastal studies (available for the summer)
Surdna Foundation Research Fellowship for research in any field. Awarded to highly qualified juniors to be used for the summer preceding the senior year or during the senior academic year (available for the summer or academic year)
Nellie C. Watterson Summer Fellowship fosters research and/or training in the creative or performing arts. Awards may support any combination of travel expenses, tuition costs related to a formal training program, instruction fees, or a stipend for the Fellow
