The Student Activities Fair showcases over 100 student organizations ranging from performing arts groups to cultural to club sports. Scheduled at the start of each semester, the Student Activities fair is a great way to find a new interest, join a club and get connected with new people.
Held at the end of the spring semester, the Spring Gala brings together the entire student body for a sophisticated night of music, dancing and food.
Ivies is Bowdoin’s annual Spring Concert and takes place on the football field on the last Saturday in April. An all-campus BBQ is served outside during the concert.
A Thursday night tradition, students receive free rides to the local bowling alley and bowl for free with their ID. Program is sponsored by the Student Activities Office and Bowdoin Student Government.
Student receptions at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art and the Peary MacMillan Arctic Museum are held throughout the year inviting all students to see the exhibits and enjoy an evening of good company, food and musical entertainment.
A series of off-campus events designed to help get students out into their community attending events and experiencing all that Maine has to offer, outside of the Bowdoin “bubble”. Past events have included trips to Red Claws and Sea Dog games in Portland, music and movie festivals.
This show, held at the end of each semester in Pickard Theater showcases the various dance clubs at Bowdoin. Each student-run group presents a piece that they have spent their semester choreographing and practicing.
Held in Pickard Theater at the end of each semester, the all-Acapella group show features songs from each of the six Acappella groups at Bowdoin and attracts large audiences across the Bowdoin community.
The Pub is a social hotspot on campus. Every Thursday night you can find DJ dance parties, trivia nights, karaoke nights, coffee houses or movie screenings happening at the pub.
Housing pottery, fabric and glass studios, the Craft Center gives members supplies necessary for work with a nominal semester fee. A third multipurpose studio is used for holding a variety of workshops year-round. Programming at the Craft Center encompasses a broad range of craft workshops based on student request and interest.
