Student Safe Ride Service
The Student Safe Ride Service operates from 5:00 p.m. till 3:00 a.m. daily. This service is provided for the safety of students moving across campus as alone or in groups of three or less. In order to provide this service effectively, we ask that all students respect the group policy. The escort vehicle is driven by students, so please treat them with the utmost courtesy.
Safe Ride Service Policy:
- The Safe Ride Service is a safety service and should only be used by individuals who are concerned about their safety walking across campus.
- The current hours of the Safe Ride Service are 5:00 p.m.-3:00 a.m.
- Security will provide escorts after 3:00 a.m. when necessary.
- The number of passengers is limited to groups of 3 or less.
- The Safe Ride Service will provide rides to and from anywhere on campus. It will also provide rides to off campus students living within a mile of campus.
- The drivers will be dispatched by the Security dispatcher, who can be reached at x3337 (725-3337)
- Food and beverages are not allowed in the escort vehicle.
- Extremely intoxicated individuals will not be given Safe Rides. Security will be notified of any extremely intoxicated individuals and take appropriate action.
- Rowdy and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Anyone causing problems will be referred to Security.
