Before you leave Bowdoin, fill out a Housing Application Form and return it to the Office of Residential Life in Moulton Union. Complete the form even if you do not plan to live in College housing, in order to avoid incorrect billing. If you plan to live on campus when you return, name a proxy for the lottery and list your preferences for housing and roommates. If you have access to the internet, you can participate in the lottery registration process in April and have your proxy attend the lottery to choose on your behalf.
If you will be away for the fall only, your Housing Application Form will be used as your request for spring housing and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Sometimes students with opposite study away plans (fall v. spring) will plan to swap rooms. Please indicate this proposed plan on your Housing Application Form. The Office of Residential life does its best to accommodate these requests, but there is no guarantee the specific assignment can be made. Spring housing assignments are made in early December and sent to students via e-mail.
If you have specific questions about your housing assignment please contact Lisa Rendall (lrendall@bowdoin.edu).
