How did you first get involved in service at Bowdoin?
I first became interested in service after working at Pine Tree Camp for children and adults with disabilities in the summer of 2003. I began service at Bowdoin with Special Friends and have increased my involvement since, working closely with the Community Service Resource Center.

What have you gained from your service experiences and working in the community?
I have learned there are an infinite number of needs for service in every community and that service is more fulfilling than any other activity. The non-profit field is widely accessible and I wish to spend my career there.

What does it mean to serve the common good?
Serving for the common good means to give one's time and energy to better the experience of people other than yourself.
