Early Season: Keep it Simple
Concentrate on your ankles, and make sure that you're getting good flex in both of them. This will help keep your feet under you, from which all other good things come. With your feet under you, you'll be in better balance, you can make smoother lead changes, really work the ski to carve through a turn. You'll also be in a better position to make your lead changes quicker when you need to, in short turns, bumps, steeps, etc.
It's all about the ankles.
This page will feature various tips throughout the season and recaps of previous weeks' classes. If you have a question you'd like answered or something in particular you'd like featured here on this page, email O'D.
