Maine has an abundance of beautiful country roads ripe for bicycle touring. This trip will explore the Dresden, Maine area, leaving directly from the Bowdoin Campus. Participants will explore the rolling hills and ride along the sparkling rivers of the area during the day and enjoy relaxing under the stars next to a campfire at night. A support van will accompany the group to carry gear, food and personal belongings. This trip is geared towards students with some previous biking experience, and participants must provide their own functioning road bike and helmet.
If there is anything that is in the equipment list that you have questions about, please do not hesitate to contact Ben Roberts-Pierel, Pre-Orientation Coordinator at (207)798-4268 or bocpreo@bowdoin.edu. Also capiliene tops and bottoms, and socks will be sold here at the outing club on the day of arrival if you are unable to get it beforehand.
