Last Sunday a group of Whitewater Raft Guides and brave BOC members rose at 5:45am to paddle what they thought would be the Kennebek River. Little did they know that on this day the Rapid River, a secluded, wild stream somewhere between northern New Hampshire and Maine, was also running. In celebration of 40 years of Women at Bowdoin the Outing Club and Women's Resource Center has combined forces to host a series of Women's trips. On October 1st we took a exuberant group of students & staff up to The Forks, Maine to raft the Dead River on a high water release.
