Friday October 29th, a bunch of students made their way over to the Schwartz Outdoor Leadership Center to carve pumpkins, eat donuts, apples cider and enjoy good company! Some students came with extravagent designs in mind and others came to carve their 1st pumpkin. Check out the photos to relive the Halloween festivities!
I kept myself busy by collecting and cooking all the seeds. With much luck they somehow turned out even better than my mothers! (Just don't tell her that ;)
Here's my Pumpkin Seed recipe:
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a medium mixing bowl add a bunch of olive oil with some garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt and worcestershire sauce. Next mix the seeds into the bowl with your seasoned olive oil and mix to cover all the seeds. Spread the seeds out onto baking sheets. Feel free to drizzle any of the leftover seasoned olive oil mixture on top of the seeds to use it up. Cook for about 1 hour, stirring every 10-15 minutes until seeds are golden brown. Yum!
