It has been over a month since the freshmen class returned safely from their Pre-Orientation trips in the Maine wilderness and beyond! Pre-O’s included a whole range of trips from surfing at Popham Beach, hiking Mount Katahdin, canoeing the Debsconeag Lakes, whitewater kayaking on the Androscoggin River, working on Milkweed Farm, exploring Kent Island, sea kayaking in Casco Bay and much more. On August 25th, 2010 thirty-eight trips went out into the field in heavy downpour (over 2 inches recorded in Brunswick)! While they got off to a wet start the weather soon became sunny and hot through the end of the trips on August 28th and into Orientation and the first few days of class.
If you missed the Pre-O slideshow, no worries, it is now available online!
